Teaching
As Director of the Greenberg Center for the Study of Religion in Public Life at Trinity, I teach courses on religion in public life with a focus on race and education. In all my classes, I connect the history of religion to students’ experiences, and I am excited to encounter students’ perspectives while I help them develop their insights using rigorous academic methods.
I have also taught a wide range of courses at Transylvania University (where I contributed in significant ways to broadening our curriculum in terms of diversity and methods), Princeton University, Fordham University, and Mercer County Community College (as part of the Prison Teaching Initiative). In my classes, I aim to cultivate a shared space for learning and flourishing.
